Heroic Doses

Heroic Doses

It’s taken me a while to get to this one, just because mere words can’t describe Bill Dolan’s guitar style. Technically impeccable, creatively staggering and stubbornly original are adverb/adjective combinations that work well, but still come short of comfortably enclosing Dolan’s nimble fretwork. Moreover, Heroic Doses’ other two members, Ryan Rapsys (drums, some bass) and Nick Macri (bass) easily keep pace with Dolan, complementing his fabulously inventive (another combo!) pyrotechnics with flashes of their own talent.
