Boredoms

Super æ

Birdman

Saying this is a change of pace for the Boredoms ain’t saying much. Sure, seven tracks in seventy minutes might be a bit odd, at least once you’ve gotten used to the Boredom’s fifteen-second song approach. However, if I may get mathematical for a second, this would appear to be a fractal expansion of the Boredoms’ sound, a stretching of their explosive cataclysmic two-second riffs into eight-bar phrases. Jamming and shredding like a locked groove, the Boredoms once again churn out music that borders on the definition between organized rhythm and melody and outright noise. Guitar, bass, drums, tape manipulations, synthesizers, effects, chaos, mayhem, destruction, fun. Birdman Records, 1409 W. Magnolia, Burbank, CA 91506
