The Love Huskies sound exactly like the Replacements would if Paul Westerberg were replaced by a Pod (ala Invasion of the Body Snatchers ). There is no reason for this band to exist as long as the Replacements’ back catalog (which is to the Love Huskies what the Beatles are to Harvey Danger) remains in print. After the fourth song, this disc became completely unlistenable. Makes a good coaster, if nothing else.
