This is very interesting, a compressed studio session between two of today’s most brow-furrowing ensembles. Konkurrent Independent Music, in true Dutch fashion, sponsors bands to spend two days to record an EP’s worth of music. The results of Tortoise’s cold vibraphone front colliding with warm humid strings from the Ex are intriguing and worthy of both bands.
