“Like a Droid to the Slaughter” begins Slickaphonics , appropriately enough for this album of tense instrumentals. Replikants (not to be confused with the similarly-spelled LA supergroup) build workday themes for tired machinery, but in the end these pieces would be dismissed by the auditory sensors of their intended mechanical audience as being… well, too human. Dub music for the forty-third century.
