David Olney

Ghosts in The Wind

Barbed Wire

Taken from live performances in 1992, 1993 and 1994 during the La Casa Music Series in Bloomfield Hills Michigan, this two-track non-overdubbed recording accurately reproduces the live performances that leave Olney’s admirers, as well as first-timers, feeling transformed by his performances. While he would generally be found in the Folk Music category, he’s actually not. David Onley Rocks. Onley stretches the borders and the mind. His themes range from those that you might expect, to some that you would not. With just a voice and a guitar, Olney’s original compositions will take you on a journey through space and time. From the Wild West to the Middle East. From Sinatra to the X-Rays. From the Convent to the Smoky Lounge. From Barrymore to Reagan. This is a journey through Olney’s imagination that will leave you feeling that you didn’t pay enough for the ride.
