Camden

Reel Time Canvas

Grand Theft Autumn

While moving, tight, and on the beat, Camden still leave me feeling slightly empty. The problem is the whole Death Cab For Cutie thing. I mean, I like Death Cab… but because of that, this CD comes off as a pale imitation. Not even looking at the fact that the album was recorded by Death Cab’s Chris Walla, the sound is unmistakable. There are differences, as in these guys go for the more rock sound… but they don’t quite go all the way, and when they go for the mellow introspective whine… they just don’t whine good enough.
