Tarwater deliver pleasant organically textured electronic sounds more suited for lounging about on a sundeck than for a club. The beats are nice, but the mood is comfortably relaxed. Sometimes this sorta loses me but “All of the Ants Left Paris” and the subsequent “Noon” get lodged in my head frequently enough to make me keep putting this on again and again. The brief looped piano & bass melody line and female crooning in “Noon” will stay in my head for days. Interesting sounds and structures keep gettting used as well, which adds to my liking for this record.
