Sergio Vega steps out of his previous incarnation as bassist for post-rock outfit Quicksand, adding a bit of light in some places but keeping a slight feel for what made Quicksand everyone’s favorite pounding headache — an intense and implacable sense of direction. Intense riffing mix with Vega’s decidedly melodic attentions for five interesting (and sometimes psychedelic) songs.
