Hannah Marcus

Black Hole Heaven

Bar None

Mellow and moving minimalist folk songs. Sometimes going down deep in a PJ Harvey shadow, sometimes more along the lines of Snakefarm, on the musical side. Hannah Marcus slipping like velvet rain through most of the songs on vocals, guitar, and piano. Sometimes getting help on the drums, and sometimes throwing in samples of voices, speaking computer cold, that usually fit in well with the song. There’s a slight otherworldly feel to some of the songs, ethereal, but also a slow country vibe as well, and a voice that can be haunting. Like sorrow.
