Why do so many folksters think they have to be so wussy? Isn’t Ani DiFranco the new Goddess of Folk? Well, she certainly isn’t whiny, slow, and dull, so why are so many of these lullaby-folk singers putting out records when they used to be confined to open mic night at the local coffeehouse? I don’t know, but they need to take their six-strings, journals, and PMS back to the coffeehouse until they get a pulse, and then think about putting out records.
