The J.J. Paradise Players Club

The J.J. Paradise Players Club

Tee Pee

Rising from the ashes of Unsane and Glazed Baby comes the curiously monikered The J.J. Paradise Players Club. The punishing middle ground between the former’s NYC metal-burl and the latter’s skronked rock, this four-song eponymous debut finds the four-piece stumbling upon a sound that’s not unlike a metalized take on the late, great Mule: lots of bump, lots of burl, and a shitload of decibels to spare, with a raunched-up Southern rock groove, to boot. Pretty short (just like this review), pretty ugly (ditto), but pretty fuckin’ enjoyable • wait for the full-length.
