Kiss Me There

E.A.R.

Jo Davidson’s Kiss Me There is an album that may best be described by the disc’s first song, “Fragile Tough Girl.” Her songs and her lyrics demonstrate both a toughness and a delicate nature that is quite refreshing in its honesty and beauty. At times, her lyrics lack subtlety, but there is a charm in the songs’ literal, almost prosaic approach. Kiss Me There is by no means a classic, but in the glut of singer/songwriters, she manages to find her own voice.
