Yeah. Well, Anyway…

Razor & Tie

Not quite straightforward pop/rock punches out like an afternoon sugar rush. Some sweet little synth sounds sneak out in just the right places, between the ’80s guitar moves, punk rock vocals, and pulse steady drums. The choruses rage and rise, sometimes reminding me of the space pop catchiness that you would find in an Alien Crime Syndicate song. There are minimal moments, with just the guitar strutting alongside the vocals, making me think about Ric Ocasek. The songs move steady and straight, and every time the chorus hits, I’m singing along.
