Fine bit of dramatic adventure movie music. The movie was pretty unnecessary from my standpoint (“it’s been done, man”), but the music conjures up some half-decent swashbuckling mixed with romance. I reckon that’s to be expected from David Arnold, with credits like Stargate, Independence Day, Tomorrow Never Dies, Shaft, and other 1990s-era blockbuster films, the black mark being Godzilla. There’s some fine Web sites about the man, including several shrines, though.
