Sinomatic

Sinomatic

Atlantic

The magical chorus on “You’re Mine,” the superb writing on “Candyskin,” the sultry, U2-like “What Love Is,” and the Dylanesque “Girlfriend.” All these jewels and more make Sinomatic so hot. Thoroughly, a well rounded, thought out self-titled release from these first time rockers. A satisfying mix of rock n’ roll, pop, and folk, Sinomatic has gone in the direction that many groups refuse. Every song is different, and except for the general “about a girl” subject matter in the writing, this debut album reflects this band’s obvious talent. They deserve an easy comparison to Collective Soul, and whisper the ballads of early U2. If they remain true to the music they are good at and continue to grow as writers and artists, Sinomatic will stay around long enough to make their mark. Promising and excitedly new.
