Gallygows

Give It To Her

Rainbow Quartz

A couple of quick facts: Gallygows are from Spain. Give It To Her was produced by Jon Auer (Posies). I can only assume that “Gallygows” is some sort of phonetic distortion of “Gallegos,” a term of origin for people from the northeastern part of Spain. And that Gallygows have attracted the attention of Auer for a good reason. Fans of The Posies will instantly fall in love with Gallygows’ summery sound, as will Jellyfish fanatics, Self obsessives, and the hordes of true pop connoisseurs out there. Glittering, often soaring, and never quite content to stand still, the music here is quite recognizable – like “Live At Budokan,” which has far more to do with Rubber Soul-era Beatles than Cheap Trick – but nonetheless full of its own quirks and musical twists. What are you waiting for?
