Krescent 4

EP

self-released

A rather Cult-obsessed band, Krescent 4, that swirls and churns in the stadium-sized rock format, adding a fair dash of post-nu metal (a hopeful term, more than anything else) to the mix. Songs like the opening “Too Close” and “Lost Cause” prove that the band have some really great things going on, approaching the material with post-punk’s tense aggression, while “Valentine” and “Shift” fail to generate much excitement, as if the band itself couldn’t really be bothered about the tunes. Somewhat absurdly closing with a brief solo piano piece called “All My Love,” Krescent 4 are on to something with this and may be able to pull something really good out of their sleeves before too long.
