Long article in the NY Times–so again, registration is required–about the problems the producers of The Producers are having sustaining the reign of what was once considered “The King Of All Broadway.” Lots of things seem to have gone into it, but it looks to me like the difficulties of replacing the star actors was the biggest problem. It seems to be–he said, from his far-removed position–a problem with most shows.
