If this keeps up, I’m voting for Nader again
I’m not following this, I’m really not. The NY Times has an article featuring the Democratic candidates falling all over themselves to kiss George W. Bush’s ass following the capture of Saddam Hussein. I expected as much from Lieberman, but Clark really surprises me. What none of the major candidates seem to have been able to find the words to say is: Look, the capture of Saddam Hussien is terrific. For Iraq. So far as the US and just about anybody else goes, however, it means exactly: Jack. Diddly/squat. Not a sausage. Bugger all. It doesn’t change one bit the lies we were fed to justify this war, it doesn’t make us or our soldiers a lick safer (because Hussien was, all together now, not any kind of a threat to us…whatsoever). It’s a propaganda victory for the GOP and one the Democrats seem prepared to bend over to help them with.
I’m disgusted with the lot of ‘em.
