Go Straight To Hell, Boy
This was our movie of the week today. As you’ll have heard, pretty derivative but good, well-acted. It’s a great-looking picture that will probably get well-earned nominations for production design and art direction, but it never quite sings, it never quite soars. And I never read the Hellboy comic so I can’t speak to its fidelity to source, but visually it seemed in keeping with the Mike Mignola art that I have seen.
