Put Your Hands Together
A story appeared on NPR recently about a rally held at the WB’s production facility in Burbank, California over, you guessed it, the cancelation of Angel. And…mark! That makes exactly one week since I asked for some Angel fans to do something stupid again so I could continue to mock them. You can always rely upon Angel fans.
I didn’t hear the broadcast, but someone on an Angel message board has thoughtfully shared a transcript. I quote from the opening of that transcript, up until the moment when a grin split my face like a fool. You’ll know it when you see it.

“Angel” is a spin-off from another series once on the WB called “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” It stars actor David Boreanaz as Angel, an eighteenth-century vampire with a soul in present-day Los Angeles, who fights supernatural evildoers, all the while tormented by the evil within him.
The show has never been a ratings gangbuster, but in its five seasons it has developed a fiercely loyal cult following of viewers.

And they are organizing protest rallies outside the “Ranch,” the Warner Brothers’ lot in Burbank, where WB network executives work.
“You came all the way from Tennessee?”
A chance to mock Angel fans and people from Tennessee in one fell swoop. Ah, god is good…
