McCain for Kerry’s running mate? It seems unlikely such a pairing will ever really happen, but if it did, it just might get Kerry the moderate Republican vote, people who just need that little extra push to get them to vote for a Democrat.
And in this election, that may make all the difference, especially with Ralph “la la la la la la la I can’t hear you!” Nader still in the mix.
It would certainly be a less-boring (way, way less boring) choice than Dick Gephardt, and people like Washington Monthly’s blogger and editor are taking the possibility seriously.
