“The Wells Wing”–so called because it’s the show formerly known as “The West Wing” now under John Wells instead of writer/creator Aaron Sorkin–has recieved a smattering of Emmy nominations.
Fortunately, so has “Angels In America” and “24,” so it shouldn’t be a total loss. I’m hoping Kiefer Sutherland takes it in his category. Also, interestingly, the censored “Reagans” movie got seven nods. You think Fahrenheit 9/11 winning at Cannes was political…
Larry Gelbart’s “And Starring Pancho Villa as Himself” was also nominated in the TV movie category. I saw this on DVD not long ago–it’s good, but, IMO, not up to Gelbart’s best work.
