Of course, we who read progressive news sites like Working For Change have known this for weeks (at least), but now it’s bubbling up onto the AP: Bush Camp Controlling Admission to Events.
I wonder how it’s going to play in the swing states that George W. Bush is so afraid of opinion that might go against him he’s got to avoid it at all costs?
You know what I’d advise Kerry to do if I were in a position to advise him? I’d say, have an event or series of events and announce that preferential seating will be given to registered Republicans who want to hear what he has to say. Then, open the floor to questions on any topic. Yes, it could backfire if a bunch of ninnys try to shout him down, but the potential for contrast is immense.
