The Sound of the Crowd

God help me, I’m really beginning to like this guy.

Andrew Sullivan is an interesting case. Eric “What Liberal Media” Alterman’s been known to call him “Little Roy,” in reference to Roy Cohn, because, like Cohn, Sullivan is a hawkish, (neo)conservative, Republican…gay man. I think many of Eric’s criticisms of him in the past have been fair. Chief among them that Sullivan only seemed to wake up to what a nightmare President Shrub was when his own sexual idenity was personally threatened.

But he does seem to have woken up, and slowly but surely joined the ranks of us Bush-bashers. He calls the “compassionate conservatives” on their nauseating hypocrisy. He’s even come out and said he plans to vote for Kerry, and wrote an article saying why other conservatives should too. He had the single best one-line response to any of the debates (I linked to it in my first “Reccommended After-Debate Reading” post). And he writes well.

So all this is in aid of announcing, in a roundabout way, that I’m adding his blog to my daily rotation.
