The Sound of the Crowd

Once again, I scale the ivory towers of academia

Just found a dense academic essay that references one of my Buffy book reviews quite flatteringly. Girl on Girl Politics: Willow/Tara and New Approaches to Media Fandom, by a woman named Judith L. Tabron.

Fair warning if you decide on clickage; I’m not kidding when I say it’s dense. Both in its formatting and in terms of its penatrability to someone who is not a Buffy fan.

But I’m a prideful, boastful man, nonetheless. As most of you (or at least any of you who care) know, I share the author’s dismay at the lack of serious discussion of Tara’s death and its aftermath on Buffy, and it’s always nice to see someone attempt to further it.
