The Sound of the Crowd

Ok, the Ward Churchill thing

You may or may not have heard tell around the websites and blogs about an academic named Ward Churchill whom many right-wingers want fired. The issue is his remarks following 9/11.

I didn’t want to say anything about it here till I felt I had some real information to pass on, and/or a take that seemed, to coin a phrase, “fair and balanced”.

Fortunately, here’s Orcinus with just such a take. He begins:

“One of the most striking right-wing witchhunts of recent vintage is the campaign against University of Colorado professor Ward Churchill, who had the temerity to question the conventional American wisdom about the Sept. 11 attacks by arguing that we had it coming.”
