As you may have noticed…
I rarely miss a chance to mock the state of Tennessee. I take joy in recalling the great Bill Hicks line about how when countries all over the world were calling for revolution, Tennessee was calling “Evolution! We want our thumbs!”
I’ll take any chance I can get to bash those bubulahs. One or two of you know why (it’s not just because of Bill Frist). Still, I am nothing if I am not “fair and balanced.”
In the past, I’ve linked to a good blogger from Knoxville, and I’ve even allowed as how compared to Kentucky, Tennessee looks downright tolerable and tolerant.
I like to remember that when I’m not talking about how they’re a bunch of duck-humping, racist, rock-stupid, anti-sex hillbillies…I seem to have wandered a bit there, excuse me.
What I wanted to bring up is that I have recently discovered a group blog out of the state that warrants attention: The Tennessee Guerilla Women.
Their motto: “Challenging the Conservative Politics of Sexism, Homophobia, Racism and Classism.” Long may they live. Though I’m sure, since they have to live in that state, it’ll seem longer.
