This just in: Saxby Chambliss is a homophobe

Well it sure was a busy day on the hatin’ gays front for Georgia’s embarrassment in Congress, Saxby Chambliss. First he wraps up his hatred of gays in a nice “support the troops” bullshit hogie roll:

But the primary purpose of the armed forces is to prepare for and prevail in combat should the need arise. Military life is fundamentally different from civilian life, and military society is characterized by its own laws, rules, customs and traditions – including restrictions on personal behavior that would not be acceptable in civilian society.

Examples include alcohol use, adultery, fraternization and body art. If we change this rule of “don’t ask, don’t tell,” what are we going to do with these other issues?</em>

Uh, its the military, jackass. They have rules. Rules are followed, and if not, punishment meted out. Next?

Next? How about employing an entire office of gay haters?

I’ve just gotten off the phone with Atlanta Journal-Constitution political writer Jim Galloway who says that Sen. Saxby Chambliss has confirmed that the “All faggots must die” comment left here on JMG earlier today did indeed come from his Atlanta office.

And this man claims to “represent” me. Fuck that.
