Sacred Echoes

Audio Network

Two virtuoso artists, GRAMMY® nominated Radhika Vekaria and SOCAN Screen Composer of the Year Nathalie Bonin, unite their talents on their new album, Sacred Echoes.

Recorded at Synchron Stage Vienna and the UK’s School Farm Studios, Sacred Echoes was inspired by the rituals, hymns, and philosophies of the Vedas, the ancient Hindu scriptures.

Vekaria explains, “This was never about entertainment. It’s about offering a refuge — music that doesn’t distract you from yourself but gently guides you back home.”

According to Bonin, “Sacred Echoes goes beyond borders and cultures. It’s a timeless vibration that sparks something bigger than us… a shared movement toward peace, healing, and connection.”

Embracing seven tracks, high points on Sacred Echoes include “Gurudeva,” which opens on beautiful, drifting chanting tones. A haunting piano enters, followed by an exquisitely evocative violin, revealing gently soaring, entreating textures. The melody climaxes on lush layers of spiraling surfaces, and then descends to soft tones, carrying listeners back to the initial vocal motif.

A personal favorite because of its shadowy, mystical feel, “In The Dark” ebbs and rises on darker, plaintive strings accented by light, sparkling colors. At once vulnerable and fateful, Vekaria’s vocals imbue the tune with tones that take on elevated gravity before floating away like smoke on a breeze.

The swaying, undulating motion of “Divine Desires,” highlighted by a crying violin, underlines the tender passion of Vekaria’s voice, at times almost a murmur, at other times rising to fervent, yearning tones. There’s a classical flow to this track that gives it cinematic characteristics.

Oh-so gorgeous, the closing track, “Devotion,” glides and gently whorls on delicate strings that take on fractal flavors, sailplaning beside Vekaria’s lilting voice, a confection of pure elegance.

The spiritual pull of Sacred Echoes becomes stronger as the album proceeds, showing two artists fully in control of their heavenly sound.
