Everything But The Everything
A&B Sides Volume 3
Independent
Everything But The Everything, the project of San Francisco-based songwriter, producer, and promoter Izzy The Gent, premieres his latest release, A&B Sides Volume 3, featuring “Never Said Goodbye” with Rykarda Parasol and “Horse Bit” with Sophia Prise.
On each of the tracks, Izzy The Gent selected the perfect voice to accompany the music and unwrap the lyrics. Produced by Izzy and Rex Shelverton, the songs were co-written with bandmates and friends: guitarist Ian Dowd (Fire In The Hamptons), guitarist Andrew Lund (Thought Leaders, Foreign Made, Lower Forty-Eight), and drummer Chad Roxxit (The Hot Takes, Chad and Scott).
“Never Said Goodbye,” featuring Rykarda Parasol, travels on a slinky, supple melody flavored by hints of psychedelia and pop. There’s a delicious dreaminess to Parasol’s vocals, at once retro and posh, and highlighted by layers of remote harmonies that imbue the lyrics with both a proximate and faraway feel. The flow of the melody achieves a gliding sensuality that’s beguiling.

Featuring the haunting, almost sorceress-like voice of Sophia Prise, “Horse Bit” blends elements of electro-pop, dream-pop, and new wave into a cogent tune, rife with drifting textures that shift to a wonderful pushing motion that propels listeners forward without regard for emotional risk.
Where “Never Said Goodbye” causes you to sway to the music, “Horse Bit” engenders a head bobbing movement.
All mood and momentum and pop adjacency, with A&B Sides Volume 3, Everything But The Everything performs musical magic.
