“Don’t Stop the Fight,” the new single/lyric video from T-RAN, blends elements of gospel and R&B into a track exploring the struggle to remain true to your beliefs when the inevitable problems of life encircle you.
“Don’t Stop the Fight” is an appetizer from T-RAN’s upcoming album, The Revival, whose purpose is to summon people back to unity and faith.
Talking about “Don’t Stop the Fight,” T-RAN shares, “I’ve seen my father beat cancer. I’ve overcome my own health battles. There were moments I didn’t feel good enough — as a husband, a father, a man trying to walk out his purpose. But God showed me that every fight has meaning. This song came from that truth — from those real moments when quitting wasn’t an option.”
From Chattanooga, Tennessee, T-RAN, aka Terran Gilbert, has shared the stage with Kirk Franklin, Shania Twain, Lyfe Jennings, and Kool & the Gang, and has performed in ten countries on three continents. With the release of his EP, Live and Not Die, in 2013, T-RAN put his name on the map. In 2016, T-RAN dropped his album, The Imprint, followed by a series of excellent singles, including “Save Me” and “Overcomer.”
Outside of music, T-RAN is a voting member of the Recording Academy, along with being a member of the CMA, GMA Dove Awards, and ACM. His non-profit organization Live And Not Die guides artists and assists those wrestling with addiction, despair, and depression.
“Don’t Stop the Fight” opens on bright tones flowing into a melody made up of a beguiling electric guitar, savors of R&B, and tinctures of gospel. The result is a deliciously alluring indie-rock/gospel tune full of inspiring energy and tasty vocal timbres. Radiant harmonies surround T-RAN’s velvety voice in a vibrant atmosphere.
