Carbon/Silicon is the new project from punk rock legends Mick Jones (The Clash, Big Audio Dynamite) and Tony James (Generation X). Not even a wicked case of the flu could keep Jen Cray from catching their intimate Orlando show.

After a sorely disappointing trek to the world of Taste of Chaos, Jen Cray reveled in the musky sweat of a much more personable Time Again gig at The Social.

Riverboat Gamblers are, according to Jen Cray , the best punk rock band to come along in the last decade. When she heard they were in Orlando with Strike Anywhere, she skipped out on the last day of the Langerado Festival to catch their set.

Crime In Stereo may have been just an opening act on The Chariot’s tour, but in Orlando they played as if they were the main event. Jen Cray made it out for the Saturday matinée show.

Austrailia’s answer to Paul Simon and Jack Johnson, one man band folk artist Xavier Rudd , brought his melodic spin on world music to Orlando. Jen Cray was just one amongst many who packed into The Social to witness the event.

After Disney refused to allow Dillinger Escape Plan to play their Orlando House of Blues date alongside metalcore heavyweights Killswitch Engage, the NJ band booked their own show at The Social. Jen Cray , and a few hundred other fans, eagerly came out to see them.

With a trio of Hot Water Music reunion shows coming up later in the month, the 3/4 of the band who moonlight as The Draft played an off-tour warmup gig in Orlando. Jen Cray was there.

Progressive metalcore masters Between the Buried & Me surprised everyone when their Orlando show sold out in advance, leaving many fans scrambling the streets begging for tickets. Jen Cray squeezed inside for a surprisingly friendly evening of new metal.

A fast departure from Brand New’s show at the House of Blues brought me to the much more laid back vibe at The Social for the Chuck Ragan gig. The Hot Water Music frontman was not the only famous frontman who decided to leave his band at home and go it alone for an acoustic evening. Jen Cray was in for a quadruple bill of talent!

Celebrating Halloween in Orlando, Juliette & the Licks gave the crowd at The Social- and Jen Cray - the ultimate party.

Dodging fights in the streets, Jen Cray made it inside The Social for a gorgeous evening of dreamy indie pop courtesy of Robbers on High Street and Great Northern.

For their second trip to Orlando in just three months time, Portugal the Man took a backseat in billing (to Rock Votolato), and quietly appeared as an opener at the same venue that they had previously sold out on their own. Jen Cray was back for a second helping of these Alaska boys.

The Wildbirds were a mere opening act two months ago, but this time around they’re receiving top billing on a show packed with talent. Jen Cray was one of the few in attendance for one damn fine night of music.
