Leadfoot

Take a Look

The Music Cartel

Ever since KISS donned their original makeup again, 70’s-styled riff-rock has made a big comeback. With any music style in vogue at any given moment, there’s going to be masters and there’s going to be servants. Despite the band’s good intentions, Leadfoot falls under the latter category. Sure, Leadfoot’s guitars rock in a fashion the Nuge would be proud of, but the bluster, bombast and general big-cock-edness of his contemporaries are sorely lacking on Take a Look , namely because of the commercial radio accessibility of the whole affair. But maybe that’s a good thing; consequently, the most prevailing factor is the album’s mediocrity, and that’s definitely not a good thing – leadfooted, indeed.
