At times this reminds me of the smooth, fluid melody of Castor and C-Clamp, but this is jazzier and tends to surge forth into a slightly rockish mode here and there. Still, this should appeal to fans of either band nicely. Engaging post-rock with the focus firmly on instrumentation. Eight songs, three reaching the seven minute mark and beyond. Four are instrumentals. They’ve got the skills hush up and let the instruments alone captivate your attention. On the other hand the lyrics to “Sailor” and “Join Up” in particular strike a chord with me, so it seems they succeed with either path. A very talented band. I’m glad this came my way.
