I’m Not Kidding Here
We’ve got to get Bush out of the White House. I mean we’ve got to get Bush out of the White House. This transcends politics. This is finally just a question of competence. If there was a competent Republican running who’d get Bush out, I’d vote for him.
What brought this on? Well, today, the Feds announced they believe they’ve disrupted Al Qaeda plans for terrorist attacks. And of course they are shocked–shocked!–that anyone would suggest their actions are politically motivated.
Meanwhile, remember how we went to war with almost no friends? Remember how our biggest ally was Great Britain? Well, we know how we treat our enemies now–we give them a two year head start while we we go play with our guns in the sand. But look how we treat our friends:
“British Home Secretary David Blunkett said in a statement reported by Reuters there was “a difference between alerting the public to a specific threat and alarming people unnecessarily by passing on information indiscriminately.”
Newsweek reports that a “knowledgeable British source” says Bush administration officials “compromised an ongoing surveillance operation that ultimately could have uncovered more about al Qaeda operations around the world” by raising the terror threat last week and publicly revealing new intelligence they had found.”
We’ve. Got. To get. Bush. OUT of the White House. In a very real sense, the safety of the world depends on it.
