Fleetwood Mac Live 1975

2025 RSD Black Friday Vinyl Exclusive

Rhino

For those of us possessing an affection for the various configurations of Fleetwood Mac, there’s a particular sweet spot in the band’s history. With the recent arrival of newly-recruited guitarist Lindsey Buckingham and singer Stevie Nicks, 1975 found the group firing on all cylinders.

While still embracing their blues-based rep on the road, founding bassist John McVie and drummer Mick Fleetwood’s (now) Brit-Yank hybrid was on the brink of superstardom, developing a fresher, radio-friendly sound that was evidenced on their just-released, soon-to-be chart-topping, self-titled breakthrough studio record.

A feel-good commemoration of that magical era, Fleetwood Mac Live 1975 captures the band on stage, in concert, during what many may consider their artistic apex period — recorded at the Capitol Theatre (Passaic, NJ) and Jorgensen Auditorium (Storrs, CT) during the Fleetwood Mac tour.

Brimming with passion and electricity, the 13-track concert collection presents what was, at the time, a career-spanning setlist, from keyboardist / vocalist Christine McVie’s seasoned boogie woogie opener, “Get Like You Used to Be,” to early staples including “Oh Well” and “The Green Manalishi,” to more recent FM-embraced standouts “Hypnotized” and “Rhiannon.”

Long known for taking live arrangement liberties, the band boasts expanded versions of such fan favorites as “World Turning” and Buckingham’s celebrated show-stopper “I’m So Afraid,” while serving up the furious, country-fried “Blue Letter” from Fleetwood Mac and “Don’t Let Me Down Again” from the Buckingham Nicks record.

The limited edition, double record, clear vinyl release will be a Black Friday Record Store Day exclusive. And for longtime Fleetwood Mac super freaks (like me), this one is a magical must!
